Volunteer Job Descriptions

House Volunteers
Staff the reception area of the Ronald McDonald House. Duties include greeting visitors, answering the phone, providing families with supplies or recreational items and helping with light clerical work or housekeeping tasks. Occasionally house volunteers are asked to give tours of the facility and work on special projects for the staff. On-call house volunteers are also needed to fill in for vacancies.

Family Room Volunteers
Maintain order and a pleasant environment in the PICU Waiting Room. Answer phones and refer families with special needs to appropriate contact person. Ensure the safety of individuals using the Family Room. Assist with room usage log.

Special Event Volunteers
Help out with many fund-raising events or projects we have throughout the year.

Group Volunteers
Include members of a civic, church, youth or corporate organization that plan and implement special projects, fund-raising events or provide family meals.
